3801 Limited, in association with Hunter Valley Training Company, will operate two steam trips with former South Maitland Railways Steam Locomotive No.18 during March 2012. This steam loco, together with others of the class, was the backbone of coal movements on the SMR lines in the Hunter Valley for almost 100 years.

| TRIP 1: Sunday 4 March 2012 |

On Sunday 4th March the train will depart Central at approximately 9:00am* and travel to Carlingford. The train will then go to Sandown briefly before continuing on to Blacktown to join the branch line to Richmond. Here there will time for a leisurely lunch before the train departs, to arrive at Central around 4:30pm.*

TRIP 2: Sunday 25 March 2012

| On Sunday 25th March the train will depart Central at approximately 9:00am* and travel to Hornsby, then via the North Shore line to Waverton and Lavender Bay, then again via Hornsby to Hawkesbury River. Approximately ninety minutes will be allowed for a leisurely lunch at Hawkesbury River before returning to Central where we arrive around 4:30pm.* |
